How a hand ends: in a win, a wall game, or a dead hand.

When your fourteenth tile completes an exact hand on the card, you declare Mahjong and win. If the wall runs out first, it's a wall game, which is a draw. And if your rack can no longer make any legal hand, it's a dead hand.
