Jokers as Currency
Where your jokers are worth most
The same two jokers are worth more in some hands than others.
Intermediate · lesson 10 of 22
A hand made of kongs and quints can absorb four or five jokers. A hand made of pairs can absorb none. Between two hands you could reasonably chase, the jokers you already hold should tip the choice.
That cuts the other way when you have none. A hand full of big groups is a slow hand without jokers, because you need three or four of a tile that only exists four times.
Tip
Ask what each joker is actually replacing. A joker covering a tile you could easily draw is worth much less than one covering a tile three of which are already discarded.
